"Un Bon Avocat" selected for the Venice Film Festival, ahead of its arrival on Netflix this fall

Laurent Lafitte and Carole Bouquet star in this French legal thriller

Netflix's new French film, Un Bon Avocat (formerly Clean), has been selected to screen out of competition at the 2026 Venice Film Festival, ahead of a release on the platform planned for this fall. Directed by Tristan Séguéla (Tapie), the film follows Laurent Lafitte as a brilliant criminal defense lawyer battling a cocaine addiction, who is forced to defend a major industrial group accused of complicity with a terrorist network, all while fighting for his own redemption. He's joined by Anthony Bajon, Mélanie Laurent, and Carole Bouquet.
