Isaac de Bankolé will portray the role of Dr. Denis Mukwege in "The Healer of Muganga" by Marie-Hélène Roux, inspired by a true story, which chronicles the life journey of this doctor who has saved thousands of women victims of sexual violence in Central Africa since the 1990s. Alongside him, we will find Vincent Macaigne playing the role of the Belgian doctor Guy-Bernard Cadière, both doctors closely collaborating to establish an association aimed at defending women's rights on the African continent.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to share my story, as well as that of the Panzi Hospital, through this film. I hope it will encourage viewers to actively engage in our fight for peace and justice for survivors of sexual violence and all victims of conflicts in the DRC," stated Dr. Denis Mukwege in a statement published by Le Film Français.
